• What string instruments do you teach?

We teach violin, viola, cello, and double bass. We also teach guitar and electric bass, but you can find out more information about that here.

What is the youngest age that you teach?

We love seeing students start their musical journeys at a young age and strive to make it a fun process along the way! The age to start is definitely dependent on the child, some children are ready to start at age 3 but others need more time to develop small muscle tone and attention span and start around age 5 or 6 (and that's okay!). We will evaluate in the first lesson whether the student is ready to begin!

My child is in orchestra at school, can you help them with their orchestra music?

Absolutely! We would love to help! Playing in a group setting is so helpful to developing many skills including team work, counting, sight-reading, ear training and we are glad to help supplement that learning to help each student become the most well-rounded musicians.

My child is just starting, should I buy a full-size instrument?

NO. Please don't do this! Full-size instruments are not typically used until high school! We would recommend getting measured and renting an instrument until your child stops growing or reaches full-size. Our friends over at John Keal would be happy to help you out!
